Got To Be Minty Fresh On Wedding Day!

What name would you give this drink at your wedding?  Might I suggest “Mint to Be”?  🙂

Recipe from : The Blond Cook- Mint Julep

8-10 fresh mint leaves

1 tsp granulated sugar

2 oz bourbon

extra mint sprig, for garnish

Instruction on how to make the Mint Julep:

1.In a glass, muddle mint leaves with sugar (if you don’t have a muddle, use the back of a wooden spoon).

2.Fill the glass with crushed ice. Top with bourbon and stir to combine. Garnish with fresh mint sprig.

The Mint Julep is a traditional drink of the Kentucky Derby. How fancy! It’s customary that the drink is served in a silver cup, but any cup you prefer will do. This drink is great for a spring or summer wedding with the freshness it offers. Whether it’s a pre-ceremony drink, cocktail hour drink, reception drink, or end of the night drink, the Mint Julep is sure to be a nice kick for any time of the day.

Be sure to come up with a fun wedding themed name for your signature drink and don’t forget to have fun and make memories! It’s your day!
